Andy Hamilton is walk leader for this one and it is about a six miler, boots needed, may be a bit exposed so even though hopefully we won't need many clothes, if the weather is not good, come prepared. We may need to start in clothes but think that's going to be the case regularly. Bring a packed lunch and enough fluid.

Meeting point is described by Andy as follows:

"To get there drive in the direction of Manchester to junction 22 of M62 (signposted Saddleworth) and turn off there. Sliproad leads to A672. Turn right (towards Ripponden) driving under the M62 and in about a quarter of a mile there is a parking area on the right which leads towards a large council depot shed (for gritting trucks). Park on side of this road - directly across the A672 you will see a sign to Green Withens reservoir, which is the path we will be taking."
